Date Difference and Business Days

Pick two dates to see the days between them, the weekday-only business day count, weeks and days, and an approximate number of months.

About Date Difference and Business Days

Choose a start date and an end date to see how far apart they are. The tool shows the total calendar days, the same span written as weeks and remaining days, and an approximate month count based on an average month of 30.44 days.

It also counts working days, meaning Monday to Friday, from the start date up to the day before the end date. Public holidays are not taken into account. The order of the dates does not matter, as the difference is always shown as a positive number. Use it for project timelines, notice periods, countdowns to an event or checking how long ago something happened.

How to use it

  1. Select the start date.
  2. Select the end date.
  3. Read total days, business days, weeks and days, and approximate months.

Questions

Are holidays excluded from business days?

No. Only Saturdays and Sundays are excluded, so subtract any public holidays yourself.

Is the end date counted?

The count runs from the start date up to, but not including, the end date.

Why are months approximate?

Months vary in length, so the tool divides total days by an average month length of about 30.44 days.
