Write Markdown with a live HTML preview, track word count and reading time, and copy either the Markdown source or the rendered HTML.
This split-pane editor lets you write Markdown on the left and see it rendered as HTML on the right as you type. It converts the most common syntax: headings from level one to three, bold and italic text, block quotes, links and images. Above the editor you can see live counts of words and characters plus an estimated reading time.
Two copy buttons let you grab either the Markdown source or the generated HTML, which is handy for pasting formatted text into a page builder, an email template or a CMS that accepts HTML. The converter is intentionally simple, so lists, tables and code blocks are not turned into HTML here; to read full documents with those features, use the Markdown file reader instead.
Headings one to three, bold, italic, block quotes, links and images. Lists, tables and code blocks are shown as plain text.
It divides the word count by 200 words per minute and rounds up.
