Sort or shuffle lines, remove duplicates and blank lines, change case, find and replace, and count words and characters in one text editor.
Paste text into the editor and use the buttons below it to change the text in place. You can sort lines A to Z, Z to A or by length, or shuffle them into random order. You can also remove blank lines, remove duplicate lines (keeping the first copy), collapse extra spaces on each line, and strip HTML or XML tags. The case buttons switch the text to UPPER, lower, Title Case, camelCase, snake_case or kebab-case.
Other options add a prefix or suffix to every line, number the lines, and fill the editor with three paragraphs of lorem ipsum. Find and replace works on plain text or, with the regular expression box checked, on a pattern. A bar above the editor counts words, characters, characters without spaces and lines, and estimates reading time at 200 words per minute. All of it runs in your browser.
No. Lines must match exactly, including case and spaces, to count as duplicates. The first copy of each line is kept.
When the box is checked, the Find field is read as a regular expression and every match is replaced. An invalid pattern shows an error message, and your text is not changed.
Words are counted by splitting the text on spaces, tabs and line breaks. Reading time assumes 200 words per minute and is shown in seconds.
There is no separate undo button, so copy your original text somewhere first if you may need it again.
